September 26, 2019 Summer camp for children of employees
During the six weeks of summer holidays this year, a total of 770 children took part in the Laupheim summer camp. It was the biggest and most extensive summer camp ever offered in Laupheim, and the kids were excited to be part of it.
This all was made possible through a collaboration with the city of Laupheim, the German Armed Forces and three Laupheim companies - Diehl Aviation, Rentschler Biopharma SE and Uhlmann Pac-Systems. The camp was held on the helicopter squadron base. Children between the ages of three and 14 participated in a variety of activities. Forty-six children of Rentschler employees took advantage of the program.
Enabling our employees to balance a family with a career is important to us and we are pleased that we were able to make a contribution by supporting this project. Additionally, trainees from all participating companies were able to actively be part of the project by becoming camp counselors for two weeks and thus were able to continue their social skills.
