Presenting a novel approach for antibody purification

Rentschler Biopharma is pleased to invite you to a scientific presentation at the Ninth Annual PEGS Europe Protein & Antibody Engineering Summit 2017. The conference will take place in the EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal from 13th to 17th November.

Anja Trapp, M.Sc., Scientist at Rentschler Biopharma, will present a lecture about streamlining antibody purification. Under the title "A novel approach by caprylic acid-based impurity precipitation", the benefits of implementing caprylic acid-based precipitation in monoclonal antibody purification will be introduced.

Combining the common low pH viral inactivation step with caprylic acid precipitation greatly improves host cell protein clearance in different antibody processes. It will be shown that caprylic acid precipitation can be applied as an excellent alternative to polishing chromatography. The method constitutes a simple, robust and economic step in an antibody purification process resulting in increased purification performance and higher safety of two-column processes.
