Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time.
We are comitted to lowering our greenhouse gas emissions through focused initiatives. Additionally, we prioritize the responsible use of resources and efficient waste management.

In the fiscal year 2024/2025, our Scope 1 and 2 emissions experienced a slight increase of 2%, primarily due to one-off factors. We remain fully committed and are intensifying our efforts to meet our climate target by 2029.
At our Laupheim site, we aim to raise our separate collection rate to more than 50% by 2030. In the 2024/2025 fiscal year, we successfully increased this rate by 4 percentage points, reaching 40%.
At our Laupheim facility, we are committed to continuously improving energy efficiency. In the 2024/2025 fiscal year, we succeeded in reducing energy consumption per batch produced by 11.2% compared to the previous year.
Climate protection is a core pillar of our sustainability strategy. To reinforce our commitment, we have successfully had our climate target validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are dedicated to contributing to the achievement of the 1.5°C goal by reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 37.8% by 2029 compared to a 2023 base year. Additionally, 82% of our suppliers (by emissions) are expected to have science-based climate targets by 2029.
Our validated climate target is available for review on the SBTi homepage.
To effectively manage and reduce our GHG emissions, we monitor our Scope 1 and 2 emissions on a monthly basis, enabling us to promptly address any deviations from our targets.
Additionally, we calculate our complete Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) once a year, which takes into account not only the emissions from our own business operations and energy consumption, but also those from the value chain (Scope 3).
For the 2024/2025 fiscal year, our CCF has been officially verified by TÜV Nord, ensuring that our calculation methods meet the rigorous standards set by the GHG Protocol.
Our new energy management system (EnMS) at the Laupheim site obtained ISO 50001 certification.
This globally recognized certification confirms our commitment to energy efficiency as well as compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through organizational, technical and staff-related measures.
Its implementation not only promotes best practices in energy management but also increases energy efficiency, benefiting both the environment and cost reduction.
