We have had a U.S. footprint since 2019, following the acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Milford, MA. Since then, we have expanded its capacity and gained certification as a multi-product site.
Our state-of-the-art facility in the U.S.
In the summer of 2021, we broke ground for a new facility in order to double our commercial manufacturing capability. The new state-of-the-art manufacturing line represents the largest expansion in our 150-year history. As part of the existing facility, it adds 22,000 square feet of manufacturing cleanroom space while housing four 2,000 L single-use bioreactors.
Growing with our manufacturing footprint, the site includes expanded quality control (QC), development, and warehousing capabilities. Importantly, this new state-of-the-art facility is highly automated, leveraging industry 4.0 solutions. It provides innovative digital and analytical services, such as advanced analytics yield optimization, augmented/virtual reality-enabled operations and no-touch batch releases.
